When I meet a potential client for the first time, they almost always have an immediate pressing concern. Perhaps a financial planning issue such as retirement, or lifecycle change, or a large purchase, or investment, or an insurance or tax issue. While I am happy to help with the problem at hand, I explain that it is my hope that this initial interaction will evolve over time into a wider relationship incorporating all aspects of a family’s financial situation, financial planning, savings, retirement, insurances, taxation to the point where I become a the trusted advisor for all areas of financial management.
I explain that I like marathons, I want to work with a select group of clients for a very long time, and I will do my best to serve the client and their family with marathon determination. This means that the goal is to build a high level of trust and establish the foundation of a long-term relationship. The financial landscape is ever-changing, with new rules and regulations being introduced requiring constant monitoring, along with new financial products and technologies, and a long-term perspective is needed. Similarly, our families are living and breathing with births, deaths, relationships and goals and aspirations. As a financial advisor, I am there for my clients, helping to deal with the nexus of financial decision-making over the marathon course of a lifetime.
The biggest payoff to the client is service, service and service. Service means engaging with clients at times of their convenience, in their homes, workplaces or in cafés at all times of the day and night. Service means interacting with difficult banks, inaccessible insurance companies, and even wayward family members to help the client. Service means total trust and commitment to the client for the longer term, for years if not decades from the start, and looking to help them reach peace of mind and being able to live, work and pursue their dreams.
Having one financial resource who can handle all aspects of financial planning and management is invaluable.
The cost of mistakes can be life changing while the rewards of proper planning and management are exceptional.
We look forward to serving you.
